The wait is finally over for Dulquer Salmaan fans! The much-anticipated film ‘Kaantha’ has locked its release date and is all set to arrive in theatres worldwide on November 14.

The makers made the big announcement on Monday with a brand-new poster that took everyone down memory lane. Styled in a vintage, retro theme, the poster features Dulquer Salmaan, Samuthirakani, and Bhagyashri Borse, instantly capturing the old-world charm of 1950s Madras.

Sharing the poster on X (formerly Twitter), the team wrote, “Diwali just got a whole lot more explosive! ‘Kaantha’ will be lighting up theatres worldwide from November 14! Wishing you all a happy Diwali, and we’ll see you in theatres very soon.”

Directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, the film was originally expected to release in September but got pushed back to avoid a clash with ‘Lokah: Chapter 1 Chandra’. The film is a joint production between Spirit Media Pvt. Ltd. and Wayfarer Films Pvt. Ltd. backed by Dulquer Salmaan, Rana Daggubati, Prashanth Potluri and Jom Varghese.

‘Kaantha’ takes viewers back to 1950s, the golden era of Indian cinema. From what we’ve seen so far, the film promises to explore the magic, politics, and passion of filmmaking during that time. The teaser which dropped on Dulquer’s birthday in July gave a glimpse into the intense emotional battle between a mentor and his disciple portrayed by Samuthirakani and Dulquer, respectively.

Dulquer Salmaan known for effortlessly balancing Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema continues to surprise audiences with his choice of roles. He last appeared making a special appearance in ‘Lokah: Chapter 1 Chandra’ and already has two more exciting projects lined up: the Telugu film ‘Aakasamlo Oka Tara’ and the Malayalam film ‘I’m Game’.
